You will find information about the current interest groups within the Heswall U3A Handbook which is issued to all members. This is produced annually. Any changes that occur during the year will be highlighted in the monthly newsletters.
Some groups may have a maximum number as they meet in members homes. Other groups meet in public venues (such as the Art Appreciation group) or outdoors (such as the Walking groups) which won’t have the same limitations on numbers attending. Some of these groups may be full and waiting lists are at the discretion of each group coordinator. If there is sufficient demand to set up an additional group we will try to do this.
More information is available about the philosophy behind groups and FAQs about the practicalities of joining groups. All interest groups need to be self-financing and some may involve costs for room hire, etc.

Further information is available at our members monthly meetings at the interest groups liaison team table. If you can’t find something listed in the handbook that interests you then why not start a group yourself or at least put forward a suggestion for a new group. If you need some inspiration, this list of potential groups may help.
